JACKSON – Beginning on Tuesday, motorists using KY 80 west of Hazard could expect delays as crews began repairing a break in pavement.

The work will take place near mile marker 6, between Avawam and Combs. It is expected to take approximately two weeks. During this time, the road will be restricted to one lane of traffic and will be controlled by flaggers. Wide loads will need to avoid the site.

No marked detour will be posted, but traffic can use the Hal Rogers Parkway between KY 15 and Exit 56 (KY 451) as an alternate route.
