Lady Dores pick up 4-1 win over Letcher

On Friday, the Perry County Central Lady Commodores hosted the Letcher Central Lady Cougars. The Lady Commodores eased into a lead, and held on for the 4-1 win.

Perry Central got on the board first with a run in the second inning. They then boosted their lead to 2-0 as Melia Kemper went yard with a homerun.

Letcher Central eventually got on the board with a single run in the fourth inning (2-1), but the run was erased in the next inning as the Lady Commodores put two on the board. The 4-1 score would hold as the final score.

Whitney Back went the distance on the mound, giving up one run on two hits, with no walks and 11 strikeouts.

Perry Central stats: Morgan Combs 1 hit, Whitney Back 1 hit and 1 run, Hannah Johnson 1 hit and 1 run, Pam Sebastian 1 run, Melia Kemper 2 hits (HR), 1 run and 2 RBI, Shaelyn Eversole 1 RBI, and Rachel Curry 1 hit and 1 RBI.
