Lois Fugate, 84, departed this life on Friday, April 20 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

She was born in Perry County on December 25, 1927, the daughter of the late James Spencer and the late Lindy Miller Spencer, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Gabriel Fugate, and a host of brothers and sisters. She was a life-long resident of Perry County and enjoyed her time at Compassionate Hearts Adult Day Care.

She is survived by her daughter, Ivory Fugate of Bonnyman; her friends at the Compassionate Hearts Adult Day Care and a host of other relatives and friends.

Arrangements were handled by the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard. The burial immediately followed the visitation on Sunday, April 22 in the Duff-Napier Cemetery on Lower Pigeon Roost.
