Albert Browning, 89, departed this life on Friday, April 20 at his home in Vicco.
He was born in Letcher County on March 28, 1923, the son of the late Joseph Tucker Browning and the late Rebecca Wooton Browning, and was also preceded in death by brothers Cornelius, J.T., Jr. and Ulysses.
Albert had been a resident of Perry County since 1955 and was the owner of Browning’s A & G in Vicco. He was also a member of the Vicco Church of God where he served on the Church Board and was former Choir Leader and Sunday School teacher.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Browning of Vicco; sons William Ronald Browning of Nashville, Tn., Kris Jerome Browning and wife Mary of Vicco and Dr. Anthony Scott Browning and wife Sandra of Vicco; daughter Sharon Kay Browning “Goldie” Vigneri and husband Tom of Harrodsburg, Ky.; sister Joyce Ann Hogg and husband Wendell of Fleming, Ky.; grandchildren Andrew, Kristopher and wife Brianna, Sharon, Rebecca and Dwayne; great-grandchildren Jacob, Khloe, Lily, Colby, Bailey and Logan, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Albert Browning were conducted on Monday, April 23 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on East Main Street with Bartholomew Perry and Mike Smith officiating. The interment followed in the Riverside Cemetery located at Hazard.
