Cardinals pick up 11-10 win over Padres

On Saturday, the State Farm Cardinals and the East Ky. Chiropractic Padres opened the day of Little League action. The Cardinals opened with a large lead, and held off the Padres down the stretch.

The Padres opened the game with a run, but turned around and gave the Cardinals an equalizing run in the bottom of the frame. The Cardinals then broke the game open in the second inning with five touches of the plate (6-1).

The Padres went on to outscore the Cardinals in each of the remaining innings, but they could not make up the difference of the second inning. The Cardinals went on to win the game by the final count of 11-10.

Cardinals (11) Kenton Noble 1 run, Jacob Woolum 3 hits and 3 runs, Mason Collins 2 runs, Spencer Robinson 1 hit, Jordan Caudill 1 hit and 1 run, Micah Steele 1 hit and 1 run, Chris Neace 1 run, Jarrett Napier 1 run and Dawson Browning 1 run.

Padres (10) Colton Smith 2 hits and 2 runs, Devin Fugate 2 runs, Dravin Goins 2 runs, Andy Baker 1 hit, Bryce Watts 1 hit and 1 run, Sam Hicks 1 hit and 3 runs, and Matt Williams 1 hit.
