The Walters’ Nissan Cubs and the East Ky. Chiropractic Padres kicked off a rain-soaked Saturday of Little League baseball. The Cubs jumped out to the early lead, and never looked back as they cruised to the 13-3 win.

The Cubs scored six runs in the opening frame, and added two in the second to take the 8-0 lead. The Padres picked up their only runs in the third inning, while the Cubs scored five more down the stretch to finish with a 13-3 win.

Cubs stats: Ryan Couch 3 runs, Dillon Combs 2 hits and 2 runs, Kobe Baker 1 hit and 2 runs, Donovan Stidham 2 runs, Smiley 2 runs, and Dlan Chaney 2 runs.

Padres stats: Colton Smith 1 run, Nick Combs 1 hit and 1 run, Tanner Pratt 1 run, C. J. Davidson 1 hit and Matt Williams 1 hit.
