HAZARD – Authorities with the Kentucky State Police arrested a Perry County man this week on charges related to child pornography.
Police executed a search warrant at the Krypton home of 23-year-old Craig A. Bailey on Wednesday, May 16, according to a KSP press release. Bailey is charged with six counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.
Bailey’s arrest was part of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation conducted by the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch. According to authorities, the investigation began in January after they discovered a suspect sharing images online.
Police say the search at Bailey’s home resulted in the seizure of electronic equipment that was used to distribute child pornography. That equipment was transported to the KSP Forensic Laboratory for examination.
Bailey was lodged in the Kentucky River Regional Jail, and authorities say additional charges are pending.
