Last week, the Perry County Central Commodores traveled to Eastern to take on the Allen Central Rebels. The Commodores struggled with their offense, but used a stellar defensive effort to come away with the 2-0 win.

The game remained scoreless until the bottom of the third inning when Perry Central crossed the plate for the 1-0 lead. The Commodores doubled their tally in the sixth inning (2-0) and then settled in to protect the lead.

Allen Central put a couple of runners on base in their final two attempts, but could not manage to find the plate. Perry Central was able to hold off each advance by the Rebels and came away with the 2-0 win.

Perry Central stats: Trevor Combs 1 run, Connor Hurt 1 hit, Jordan Baker 1 RBI, Tanner Collins 1 hit and Nathan Pray 1 run.
