On Thursday, the Perry County Central Commodores hosted the Knott Central Patriots. The Commodores got all the runs they would need to win the game in the first inning, and used a strong defense to take the 11-3 win.

Knott County caught the Commodores sleeping in the first inning, and tapped the dish twice in the top of the first inning (0-2). However, Perry Central would take advantage of the Patriots inability to find the plate in the bottom of the inning, and scored six runs to take the 6-2 lead.

The Commodores scored three runs in the second inning, and one more in the third to push the lead to 10-2. Each team would score another run down the stretch, setting the final count at 11-3.

Perry Central stats: Devin Turner 2 hits, 1 run and 3 RBI, Trevor Combs 1 run, Connor Hurt 2 hits and 3 runs, Jordan Baker 1 hit and 1 run, Joey Sams 1 hit, 1 run and 2 RBI, Evan Hurt 2 RBI, Austin Neace 2 hits and Tanner Collins 1 hit and 2 runs.
