On Thursday, the Perry County Central Commodores hosted the Knott Central Patriots. The Commodores got all the runs they would need to win the game in the first inning, and used a strong defense to take the 11-3 win.
Knott County caught the Commodores sleeping in the first inning, and tapped the dish twice in the top of the first inning (0-2). However, Perry Central would take advantage of the Patriots inability to find the plate in the bottom of the inning, and scored six runs to take the 6-2 lead.
The Commodores scored three runs in the second inning, and one more in the third to push the lead to 10-2. Each team would score another run down the stretch, setting the final count at 11-3.
