HAZARD – A boil water advisory issued for several areas in Hazard has been lifted.

According to the advisory released by the City of Hazard on June 17, areas including the Hazard Village Shopping Center, Dawhare Drive, Ridgeview, ARH Drive, Edna Lane and Rockwood Lane were under the advisory following a main line break.

According to a statement released by City Manager Carlos Combs on Thursday, the advisory is no longer in effect as water samples taken from those areas show the water to again be safe for consumption.
