Delores Mae Combs, 74, of Louisville, daughter of the late Rev. Norman and Katherine Combs, died Saturday, July 21. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 26 at 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pearson’s Funeral Home in Louisville. Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 27 at noon in Jeff. The Rev. Glenn Noe will officiate.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly, and a son, Ken. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Charlotte, and Norma Grace Clark and a brother, Delbert. Delores is survived by two sons, Sean Combs (Tonda) of Frankfort and Del Combs (Janice) of Lexington; brothers Oscar Combs of Lexington, Harold Combs and Ira Combs, both of Jeff. She was grandmother to Ashlee, Chris, Karma and Amanda, and great-grandmother to Brody and Jackson.
A Louisville native, she was a graduate of Dilce Combs Memorial High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University. She was employed by the Token III Club in Louisville for over 20 years.
She was a special person who always cared for others. She devoted herself to her family and to helping those in need.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made in her name to the Token III Club, 4014 Dutchman’s Ln., Louisville, KY 40207.
