Elizabeth Johnson, 72, died Monday, Oct. 8 at the hospice care center in Hazard.
She was born in Hiner, Kentucky on March 14, 1940 to the late Jake Farler and Lucinda Neace Farler, and was also preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Sue Johnson, and great-grandson Hunter Alan Miller.
She is survived by her husband, Alan Charles Johnson of Barwick; daughters Linda Combs and husband Charles of Somerset, Annette Smith of Barwick, and Sheila and husband Jamie Noble of Barwick; brothers Cager Farler of Lee County, George Redford Farler of Barwick, Dan Farler of Chavies, Alex Farler of Barwick, Charles Farler of Jacksboro, Tn., and Ray Farler of Barwick, sisters Martha Presley of Jackson, Tn., Trudy Sebastian of Alexandria, Ohio, and Sue Presley of Jackson, Tn., along with seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Engle Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. with Brother Charles Combs officiating at the Holiness Church of God in Jesus Name on Thursday, Oct. 11, where the family will receive friends for visitation after 6 p.m. on Wednesday evening. Burial will take place at the Neace Cemetery located at Gays Creek.
