Opal Begley Fields, 89, died Monday, Oct. 29 at the Hazard ARH medical center.
She was born in Perry County, the daughter of the late Noah and Cora Begley, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Corbett Fields, and sister Edna Begley.
She is survived by her brothers, Elmer Begley and wife Faye of Wooton, Rex Begley and wife Coleen of Ohio, and Raymond Begley of Indiana; sisters Ruby McNew of Tennessee, Ruth Hunt of Michigan, Geraldine Elrod of Ohio; and host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Arrangements were handled by the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard, where the funeral services were conducted on Thursday, Nov. 1 with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis officiating. Burial was at the Resthaven Cemetery located at Jeff.
