The Cordia Lions went on the road for their second and third games of the young season, going 1-1 as they ready for their first true home game later this week.
The Lions traveled to Lexington on Thursday, Nov. 29 to take on the always tough Lexington Catholic Knights. Cordia was coming off a big win over South Floyd, but the Knights were ready for the contest in their season opener and went on to win the game 80-45.
Cordia was led in scoring by guard A.J. Tagaloa, who scored 12 points with four rebounds and two assists.

Cordia hit the road again on Tuesday of this week to take on the Jackson City Tigers. The Lions would fare better in this match-up, with four players scoring in double digits en route to a 68-62 win.
Coach Rodrick Rhodes’ Lions improved to 2-1 on the season, and will play at home on Lotts Creek Friday against 14th region opponent Leslie County. The Eagles are currently 0-1 on the season, losing to Jackson County 72-35 in their season opener.
