John Creech, 62, of Hazard, died Tuesday, Dec. 4 at the hospice care center in Hazard.

He was the son of the late Mendell Creech and the late Lucy Hensley Creech, and was also preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Everidge.

He is survived by his wife, Deloris Creech; daughters Tina Lewis and Misty Parker; sons Anthony Creech, Ronnie Creech, and Rufus Creech; sisters Brenda Williams, Margaret Combs, Doris Combs, and Sandra Kay Stacy; brothers Mendell Creech, Jr. and Elisha Creech; 26 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Brothers Funeral Home of Hazard. Visitation will be held at the Lost Creek Pentecostal Church, where the family will receive friends after 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6. Services will be held at the Lost Creek Pentecostal Church at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7 with Willie Wagers officiating. Interment will be at Creech Cemetery at Hiner.
