Buckhorn holds off Big Creek for tourney win

Game two of the sixth grade tournament saw the Buckhorn Wildcats and the Big Creek Bobcats take to the floor. The contest was close throughout, with the Wildcats pulling out the win.

Big Creek took a small lead early, but allowed Buckhorn to get back in the game midway through the period. The Wildcats finished the frame strong, and at the horn held the 12-7 lead.

The Bobcats turned up the pressure in the second period and turned the game around. Late in the period, Big Creek took the lead, and went into the locker room up 17-15.

The momentum shifted again in the third period, and Buckhorn went back on top. The Wildcats were able to repost the five-point advantage they held in the first period (24-19).

Big Creek tried to get back in the game in the fourth quarter, but could not get close enough to strike. Buckhorn was able to hold off the rally, and went on to win the game by the final count of 32-26.
