On Friday, the Hazard Lady Bulldogs hosted the Knott Central Lady Patriots. The game remained close throughout, with the Lady Bulldogs holding a slim lead late. However, they would not be able to hold on as the Lady Patriots took the 55-47 win.

The two teams took their shot at controlling the tempo early, with Knott Central taking control late in the opening period. Hazard finished the frame with a basket, but still trailed 13-7 at the horn.

The Lady Bulldogs pushed the tempo in the second period and increased their offensive output. The Lady Patriots, however, were able to keep pace, holding the 23-17 lead at the break.

Hazard continued to creep closer during the third period, and only trailed by three (39-36) going into the final period. The Lady Patriots pushed the lead to nine early in the fourth quarter, but the Lady Bulldogs buckled down and eventually battled back into the lead (47-46) with 2:18 remaining.

At that point, Hazard went ice cold, allowing Knott Central to pull away. As time began to run out, the Lady Bulldogs were forced to put the Lady Patriots on the line. Knott Central was able to convert from the line, and went on to collect the 55-47 win.

Hazard (47) Maddison Niece 13, Sarah Pratt 1, Tori Wells 4, Brooke Sharpey 19, Savannah Roar 6, Kelli Patrick 2 and Hannah Webb 2.
