Glenn Dewey Tackett, 72, of Bulan, died Tuesday, March 5 at the Hazard ARH medical center.
He was a self-employed electrician, and the son of the late Dewey Tackett and the late Lula Justice Tackett. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Nell Tackett; daughters Sharon, Barbara, and Kimberly Chandler, all of Bulan; son James Dale Chandler of Bulan; sisters Norma Whitaker and husband Arnold of Indiana, Carma Payne of Ohio, Wanda Eldridge and husband Vernice of Sherherdsville, Ky., and Arlene Ward of Somerset, Ky.; sister-in-law Thressia Tackett of Eubank, Ky.; brother Barkley Tackett and wife Maxine of Winchester; and nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard. The visitation will be held at the Hardburly Baptist Church after 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 7. Services will begin at noon on Friday, March 8 with Ed Daniels officiating. Interment will be at Hardburly Cemetery at Bulan.
