Lloyd Napier, 85, died Wednesday, March 6 at his residence in Stanton.
He was a retired coal miner and son of the late Drew Napier and the late Polly Campbell Napier Engle. He was also preceded in death by sons Lloyd Napier, Jr. and Donald Napier; daughter Barbara Napier Madden; two sisters; two brothers; granddaughters Pamela and Michelle Warfield; and great-grandson Tyler Keith Warfield.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva Napier; daughters Clara Napier and husband Granville, Fay Warfield and husband Keith, and Molly Grigsby and Charles Caudill; sons Orville and Lyndon Napier; daughter-in-law Tina Napier; brother Pearl Napier; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Brothers Funeral Home of Hazard, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 8. Services will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 9 with Rev. Bartholomew Perry officiating. Interment will be at Engle Cemetery on Trace Branch.
