Delmer Dehart, 80, died Tuesday, March 19 at his home in Slemp, Ky.
He was born in Perry County on Jan. 2, 1933, to the late Caleb and Pearlie Dehart, and was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Vicky Dehart, and a host of brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his son, Billy and Marie Dehart of Slemp; daughter Delma Morris and William of Georgetown, In.; grandchildren Tracy Holbrook, James, Charles, and Fred Gail, and Loretta Pennington; along with a host of brothers, sisters, great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Engle-Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 22 with Eugene Baker officiating at the Slemp Church of the Lord Jesus Christ at Puncheon Camp. Visitation will be held at the church after 6 p.m. on Thursday evening. Burial will take place at the Arch Halcomb Cemetery located at Little Leatherwood.
