Elsie Dallasanta, 97, of Madison County, formerly of Winchester and Hazard, the widow of Arnold Dallasanta, passed away Monday at the Berea Health Care Center.
A native of Breathitt County, she was born Feb. 13, 1916, to the late Jonah and Margaret Pelfrey Thomas. She was a sales clerk for T.G. & Y. in Hazard and a member of the Church of God.
She is survived by daughters Barbara Ivy of Berea and Charlene Baker and husband Charles of Hazard; brothers Elmer Thomas of Winchester and Vernon “Bobby” Thomas and wife Minnie of Winchester; sister Irene Bush of Winchester; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Doris Baker; sisters Katherine Hopper, Grace Lisle, and Dorothy Anderson; and grandson Tony Baker.
Arrangements are being handled by Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home of Winchester. Graveside services will be Saturday, April 6 at 2 p.m. at the Winchester Cemetery by Charles Moore, minister of the Berea Church of Christ.
