Mary Edith Turner Combs, born February 2, 1930, departed this life on March 27. She was 79 years of age at the time of her passing.

She was a life-long resident of Perry County, the daughter of the late Wiley Turner and the late Amanda Herald Turner. By occupation she was a homemaker. She was also a member of the Wabaco Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Letch Turner and Wiley Turner, Jr. She is survived by son Elisha “Buddy” Combs, Jr. of Grapevine; special daughter-in-law Janet; sister Stella Faye Turner of Hazard; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 29 at the Engle-Walker Perry Chapel. Burial took place at Riverside Cemetery in Hazard after the service. You may sign the guestbook at www.englewalkerfuneralhome.com.
