Ella Campbell, born April 15, 1921, departed this life on Friday, May 29, at Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center. She was 88 years, 1 month, and 15 days of age at the time of her passing.

Ella was born in Rowdy, the daughter of the late John Campbell and the late Sally Ann Noble Campbell. She was a life-long resident of Perry County. She was a homemaker by occupation.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Andrew Campbell, sons Claude, Steven, and Lonnie Campbell; one daughter, Sally Campbell.

She is survived by sons Else Campbell and Jospehine of Rowdy, Ky., Amos Lee Campbell and Janet of Bonnyman, Ky., Harold Campbell and Lenora of Bonnyman, Ky., John Campbell and Ruth of Somerset, Ky., Linville Campbell and Sandy of Nicholasville, Ky.; daughters Sandra Rex of Bonnyman, Ky., and Tammy Couch and Johnny of Bonnyman, Ky.; sister Laura Garrett of Hamilton, Ohio; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Campbell were held at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home on East Main Street, Hazard, Ky. on Monday, June 1, 2009 with Eldon Miller and Emmitt Campbell officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery located at Rowdy. Visitation was Sunday evening at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home.
