Eugene was born in Hazard, Kentucky. He was a life long resident of Combs, the son of the late Pearl Combs Begley. He was a construction worker by trade. He was also preceded in death by brothers Ted Begley and Ronnie Begley.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Adams Begley of Combs; daughter Melissa Begley Stacy of Hazard; brothers Clarence Begley, William Begley, and Donald Begley all of Combs; sister Ima Jean Begley of Brownsfork; grandchildren Dylan Scott Eugene Stacy, Jamie Dalton Stacy, and Cody Matthew Lee Stacy; beloved nephew Jason Begley of Combs; beloved sister-in-law Theresa Begley of Combs and a host of other relatives and friends.
There will be a private service at a later date
