Rutherford Baker, 80, passed away Friday, September 4 at his home in Gays Creek.

He was a retired employee of the Aspen Tree Company.

He was the son of the late Robin Baker and the late Martha Stidham Baker.

He is survived by his wife, Cinda Baker; daughters Martha Combs and Charlie, Brenda Mullins and Edward, Jenna Lou Stidham and John, and Phyllis Collins; sons Cager and Pauline, Eddie and Donna Kaye, Robert and Bonnie Lou, Larry and Marie, and Randy and Denise; brother Joe Baker; 25 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a host of half brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Arrangements were handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard. Visitation was held at the Holiness Church of God in Jesus Name on Sunday, September 6. The funeral service was at the church on Monday, September 7 with Charles Ed Baker, Krauss Noble, and David Spicer officiating Interment was at Baker Cemetery in Gays Creek.
