HAZARD The Perry County Grand Jury will be hearing the cases against six Ohio men charged with raping and sodomizing a woman at a local motel in September.
A combined preliminary hearing was held last week for the defendants: Leslie George Ivory, 43, of Dayton; Tajh Eugene Barton, 20, of Dayton; Doyne Shane Glass, 34, of Miamisburg; Terry James Bolin, 34, of Cincinnati; James Wayne Devoe, 20, of Lewistown; and Carlos La Mar Robinson, 20, of Dayton.
Following the hearing, the cases were bound over to the grand jury for consideration of an indictment.
The men, who were in Hazard as part of a crew contracted to move items to the new site of the Perry County Public Library, were arrested on Thursday, September 24 after authorities said they engaged in sexual intercourse with a woman at the Super 8 Motel in Hazard while she was passed out and unable to give consent.
