The game was tight in the early going, with the Wildcats claiming a slim 14-11 lead at the end of the first period. The Wildcats' offense came to life in the second quarter, lifting them to a sizable lead. Going into the locker room, Buckhorn was on top 39-24.
Buckhorn's hot hand stayed with them well into the third period. The Wildcats remained in control of the tempo and the game throughout the third period. With one period left to play, Buckhorn was in control 59-40.
With the game well in hand, the Wildcats went down their bench to close out the festivities. Buckhorn was able to cruise to the 74-57 win, lifting their recored to 8-7 on the season.
