Angela Colwell, born January 17, 1947, departed this life on Sunday, June 6 at her home in Busy. She was 63 years of age at the time of her passing.

She was born in Yerkes, the daughter of the late William Colwell and the late Della Couch. She was also preceded in death by daughter Hazel Campbell, sister Elizabeth Colwell and brother Clarence Colwell.

She is survived by her sons, Clarence Saunders and April of Busy, Jason Saunders and Brandy Todd of Cincinnati, Charles Saunders and Teresa of Cincinnati and Paulis Bailey and Mary Sumner of Leslie County; daughter Deana Hoskins of Willard; brothers E.C. Colwell, Rufus Colwell, Bill Colwell, all of Little Willard, and John Henry; sisters Paula Hicks of Knott County, Pockey Colwell of Krypton and Laverne Giley of Cincinnati; grandchildren Charlie Saunders, Christopher Saunders, Jason Lloyd Saunders, Elizabeth Saunders, Pearlie Hoskins, Linda Hoskins, Joel Hoskins, Suzana Hoskins, Samuel Campbell and Kenneth Campbell. A host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other friends and family also survive.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 12 at Big Willard Church of Christ in Busy with Clifford Colwell officiating.

Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard was in charge of arrangements.
