He was self employed and was preceded in death by his parents, the late Casper and Edna (Russell) Smith. He was also preceded in death by sister Wilma Jean Smith and brother Carl Douglas Smith.
He is survived by sisters Rosa Grace and Pauline Westberry, brothers Bobby Pearl Smith and Lloyd Smith along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Arrangements were handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard where the family received friends on Wednesday, September 29. The funeral service was conducted on Thursday, September 30 with Kenny Smith officiating. Interment was at Combs Cemetery located at Combs.
