Audie Allen, 88, of Rowdy, died Monday, April 23 at the Hazard ARH medical center.
He was a United States Army veteran, and the son of the late Samuel Allen and the late Jennie Gwin Allen. He was also preceded in death by his son, Steven Allen; sisters Kathy McGlone, Velma Stacy, Hazel Baker, Lola Pavlik, and Alieen Schoonover; and brother Steven Allen.
He is survived by his wife, Cecelia Allen; daughters Rita Spreeman and husband Gary, and Audrey Rumler and husband Tim, along with five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Arrangements were handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard. Funeral services were held at Mt. Carmel Church on Friday, April 27 with Don Reed officiating. Interment was at Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery in Rowdy.
