Imojean Stidham, 80, passed away on Monday, May 14 after a short illness.
A native of Hazard, she was born on August 17, 1931 to the late Bert and Mae Stollings. She retired in 1986 as a teacher and head of the Department of Cosmetology at the vocational school in Hazard. She was a member of the Frankfort First Assembly of God church.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Eugene Stidham; daughters Gwen Stidham-Neff and Pat Brown, both of Frankfort; grandchildren Jonathan Brown and Matthew Brown, both of Lexington, and Kristal Stacy of Lawrenceburg; brothers Martin Stollings of Hazard and Marshall Stollings of London; sisters Bobbie Horn of Beattyville, Marie Bailey of Canton, MI, Juanita Stollings of Lexington and Deloris Justice of Hazard, along with three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, with services at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 17 at Clark Legacy Center on Versailles Road in Frankfort, with Pastor Ernest Fridge officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Grass Memorial Gardens in Nicholasville.
