Sylvester Grigsby, 89, of Hazard, died Saturday, May 19 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
He worked on the railroad and was a United States Army veteran, and was also the son of the late Floyd Grigsby and the late Jenny Ritchie Grigsby. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Leona Grigsby.
He is survived by his daughter, Jenny Chandler; sons Terry Edward Grigsby, Felix Anthony Grigsby, Timothy Lee Grigsby, Theodore Jerome Grigsby and Orbie Randall Grigsby, along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard. No services will be held at this time.
