Roland Noble-Campbell, 55, of Jeffersonville, died Friday, June 8 at his residence. He was born November 17, 1956 in Hazard to the late Taylor and Naoma Noble.

Roland moved to Montgomery County 25 years ago from Menifee County. He was employed at Bucyrus/Caterpillar as a welder; he had a laid back personality with a practical jokester spirit. Roland enjoyed gardening, UK basketball and spending time with his three dogs. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and colleagues.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Melanie Campbell of Jeffersonville; brother Jim Noble of Louisville; sisters Nora Miller and husband of Hazard, and Cindy Feix and husband Hubert Thomas of Mt. Sterling; three dogs: Sophie, Sadie and Quincy; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his adopted parents, Carl and Antha Campbell; his brother, Murlin Noble and one sister, Nancy Gwin.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 12 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be on Monday, June 11, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., services will be at the Full Gospel Word of God, Highway 599 in Jeffersonville. Burial will follow the funeral at the Fortune Cemetery. Rev. Andy Timblin will be officiating.
