Timothy “Hoss” Halcomb, 43, died Tuesday, June 12 at the Hazard ARH medical center.

He was born May 5, 1969 in Hazard, the son of Vernie Caudill Halcomb and the late Damon Halcomb, and was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Bobby Mize.

He is survived by his mother, Vernie Halcomb of Cornettsville; brother Roy Halcomb and wife Sandy of Cornettsville; sisters Sandra Mize of Slemp and Tracy Simpson and husband Keith of Cornettsville; nieces Makenzie Simpson, Jessica Mize, Sarah Adams and Sonya Stacy; nephews Wayne Halcomb and Mikey Mize, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 16 at 1 p.m. at the Big Leatherwood First Baptist Church with Darrell Caldwell officiating. The interment will follow in the Arch Halcomb Cemetery located at Little Leatherwood. The visitation will be at the church on Friday evening starting at 6 p.m.
