James Warren Daniels, 63, of Happy, died Tuesday, July 17. He was a retired coal miner and a preacher for many years.
He was the son of the late Kenneth Daniels and the late Cynthia Combs Daniels, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Watson Daniels, and sisters Joan Mullins, Peggy Mayhew and Joyce Sumner.
He is survived by sons Jamie Daniels and wife Missi, and Craig Daniels and wife Heather; sisters Mary Mullins and Judy Shell; brother Bill Daniels; grandchildren Alexis, Hannah, Alyssa and Jacob Daniels; special nephews Kenny and Dean Mullins, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard, where the family will receive friends on Thursday, July 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Ira Combs Memorial Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 20 with Sam Fields officiating. Interment will be at Daniels Family Cemetery in Millseed.
