Frank Barker, 82, of Combs, passed away on Friday, July 27 at the Hazard ARH medical center.

He was the son of the late Houston Barker and the late Prudia Barker, and was also preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Wayne Barker, and daughter Judy Marie Barker.

He is survived by his wife, Rosa Barker of Combs; daughters Patricia Ann Herald and husband Don of Combs, Helen Faye Holland and husband Steve of Combs, and Fronia Sue Barker and Bo Knight of Lexington; sons Frank David Barker of Combs, James D. Barker and wife Beverly of Chavies, Michael D. Barker and wife Doris of Chavies, and Gary L. Barker of Combs; sisters Helen Dickerson of Ohio, Earlene Barker of Clay City and Juanita Grimes of Hazard; brother William Barker of Indiana, along with 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard, where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, July 30. Services will follow with Roy Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Combs Cemetery in Combs.
