Herbert Hoover Salley, 81, died Saturday, August 11 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.

He was born in Perry County on January 16, 1931 to the late Shiloh Salley and Sue Combs Salley, and was also preceded in death by the following his loving wife, Estella Francis Salley, and daughter Lucille Salley.

He is survived by his son, Herb Salley and wife Kristine of Moncks Corner, brother Benny Salley of Cornettsville and sister Jeanette Salley of Ocala, Florida.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 15 at 10 a.m. with Joe Grimm as the officiating minister at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard, Kentucky, where the family will receive friends for visitation between the hours of 6 until 9 p.m. on Tuesday evening. The Resthaven Cemetery located at Jeff is the place of burial.
