Mildred Slone, 83, died Thursday, Nov. 15 at her residence in Hazard.
She was the daughter of the late Rev. O.B. Gabbard and Cora Jackson Gabbard, and was also preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Gabbard, and sister, Mary Lois Cornett.
She is survived by her husband, Enoch Stanley Slone; daughters Mary Rhoda Slone and Jeanne Slone Arnold; son Owen Stanely Slone; special niece Eileen Cornett Haddix; three grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard, where the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17 with Rev. Mike Caudill officiating. Interment will be at John Commodore Slone Cemetery in Pippa Passes.
