Della Hurt, 72, of Bonnyman, died Friday, Dec. 14 at the Hazard ARH medical center.
She was the daughter of the late Marion Thomas Colwell and the late Lily Mae Gibson Colwell, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hurt.
She is survived by sons Robin Hurt of Bonnyman, Timothy Bruce Hurt of Bonnyman, Jerry Hurt of Bonnyman, Burt Hurt of Bonnyman, Lester Hurt of Bonnyman, Thomas Hurt of Bonnyman, and Michael Hurt of Vicco; sisters Shelby Stacy of Emmalena and Helen Miller of Cornettsville; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard. The visitation will be held at the Lower Second Creek Church of God, where the family will receive friends after 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 17. Services will begin at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 18 with Rev. Merill David Collins officiating. Interment will be at Hurt Family Cemetery on Lower Second Creek.
